Trey grew up in the small town of Oak Cliff in Texas. Trey was no stranger to the many dreams and aspirations that his mother and father had for his family of 11 children, and considers himself to be a small package with a llittle bit of all his brothers' and sisters' nack for talent and entertaining. He grew up in the church where he got his first taste of singing in front of a live audience.

He trained at Eastfield College in Dallas, TX under Periette Mouladue, who is one of France's finest soloists and pianists. His basic philosophy on music and singing is “Music has a way to get deep down into the core of the soul, that part of the soul, that touches us all, whether we want it to or not and if I can sing a song and be a part of bringing a smile into someone’s heart, then I’ve done what GOD has blessed me to do with my gift.”

Trey has performed on many stages in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and abroad such as: “Showtime at the Apollo in New York City, The Real Texas Festival at the Mesquite Rodeo/Resistol Arena, Rodeo City Music Hall (downtown Mesquite) where he was honored as The Rodeo City Music Hall (Male Entertainer of the Year), The Wylie Opry and many more.

A singer, song-writer, and performer, Trey is currently working on two of his many originals “You Are More To Me” and the title song for his CD “A Country Kinda Guy” due for release in the fall of 2008. In addition to performing his own material, he has explored and is familiar with many vocal styles including Jazz, Pop, Country, Blues and R&B. He credits many artists for their inspiration in his life such as: Ray Charles, Charlie Pride, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith and many more. As "Trey Charles," Trey also does a hilarious and funny tribute to his all time Idol, Mr. Ray Charles, singing some of Ray’s greatest and most cherished hits such as: Georgia On My Mind, America The Beautiful, Hit The Road Jack and more.

Trey has been singing 14 years and keeps striving to not let anything get in the way of his desire, he says “Doors are meant to be opened more than closed, don’t allow yourself to be shut out of a world of opportunity.”

“I believe that music is one of the most unique and beautiful ways that GOD has allowed us to express our feelings no matter what has happened to you. In the midst of your troubles, worries, pains and sorrows, even in your happiest times, that special song whether it be gospel, country, R&B, or whatever can come in and bring that happy feeling and bring a brighter moment to that person that is hurting, it can make the happiest person smile even more.” “I believe that no two songs are alike, nor any two people. My job I feel as a singer is to uplift each person that sits in an audience that I perform for.

I provide a quality performance full of love and laughter whether there is 5 people or 10,000 in an audience. I feel that each individual in that audience deserves 110% from me and that’s what makes me the audience's biggest fan. In my performing over the years I have found that the fans and audience makes the performer the best that he or she can be, it’s just something about the energy that they bring, it’s electric and I love it. Remember, Love All.
